High Performance Graphene Membrance
It all began with the creation of a cutting-edge new material called “Graphene”.
Put simply, Graphene is a two-dimensional layer of carbon just one atom thick. Its properties are nothing short of extraordinary: it’s roughly 300 times stronger than steel, presents virtually no internal resistance, and remains impressively lightweight.
Because crafting a pure graphene membrane is currently both challenging and prohibitively expensive, we developed a hybrid solution: a Mylar-based membrane infused with graphene powder through a thermal process. This approach dramatically enhances key characteristics of a conventional dynamic driver, including improved membrane strength, increased rigidity, and superior damping of unwanted resonances.
Such a high-tech membrane deserved an equally uncompromising “engine.” That’s why we integrated an ultra-light aluminum voice coil (CCAW), coated with a thin copper layer for enhanced conductivity. The coil is powered by a formidable NdFeB alloy magnet, whose magnetic strength and size surpass typical competitors’ magnets by three to four times. Together, these innovations deliver a broad dynamic range, exceptional detail, extremely low distortion, and elevate the sound to a level approaching Planar Magnetic technology.
Our new driver functions as a compression-based system. In other words, its membrane features an exceptionally soft suspension and also relies on the air volume within the earphone cup’s acoustic chamber for its elasticity.
All these technological advantages give the driver a large dynamic range, an amazing detailed sound and very low distortions.
The driver needs about 72 hours of burn-in in order to reach its full potential.
